Club Awards

The club has several awards which are presented to deserving members on a yearly basis. It can be extremely difficult to choose a winner for each as often there are many deserving members in each category.

Chairmans Award

This award is handed out by the Chairman and can be given to anyone for any reason.

Trainee of the Year

The winner is chosen by the instructors within the club and is for the trainee that has showed the most enthusiasm, commitment or has overcome the biggest hurdles. Applies to all levels of diver training.

The Volnay - Instructor of the Year

The use of this award changed from biggest blooper to the instructor of the year. Voted for by all club members, it is to thank the instructor who has gone above and beyond over the course of the season.

Brian Maton

Pathfinder

A navigational challenge is set by the previous years winner and this award is presented to the person who gets nearest.

Silver Dolphin

Awarded in recognition of the best underwater photography produced by members over the dive season. Chosen by public vote on an evening where all entries are shown at the same time.
