Access keys

Access keys are a navigation device which allow you to jump to different sections of the LSAC website with ease. Available access keys are:

• h - Home
• d - Scuba Diving
• k - Snorkelling
• a - About LSAC
• r - Dive Resources
• m - Members
• w - Welfare
• c - Contact Us
• 1 to 9 - Submenu link of the current section
• y - Accessibility
• t - Terms and Conditions
• p - Privacy Policy
• s - Sitemap

For example if you wanted to go to "About LSAC" > "Rogues Gallery" you would need to use access keys A and then 4 (as the gallery is the 4th option of the about LSAC menu).

Using access keys will differ depending on your operating system, your web browser and your configuration. Some default ways are shown below:

Browsers on Windows

Firefox 2+: Hold down the <shift> and <alt> keys and then press the access key
Firefox 1.5: Hold down the <alt> key and press the access key
Opera 9: Hold down <shift> and <escape> to show a list of access keys
Internet Explorer 5+: Hold down the <alt> key, press the access key, release both keys then press <enter>
Netscape 6+: Hold down the <alt> key and press the access key

Browsers on Macs

Firefox 2+: Hold down the <shift> key and <alt> keys and then press the access key
Firefox 1.5: Hold down the <ctrl> key and press the access key
Safari: Hold down the <ctrl> key and press the access key
Opera 9: Hold down <shift> and <escape> to show a list of access keys
Internet Explorer 5+: Hold down the <ctrl> key and press the access key

Standards Compliance

We attempt to make all of our pages standards compliant and validate against HTML 5, CSS 3 and v2.0 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. We may also add additional none-compliant features for browsers that support them but this should not negatively impact anybodys browsing experience.
